Asathru is very individual and there are many different ways to practise it. But one of the most important things is that you shouldn't forget what you belive in as soon as you have left the ceremony, put your runestones back etc. The nordic gods all behaved different, but talking about their social behavior they were pretty alike. For example, most of the gods were friendly, they helped out if someone had a problem, but at the same time they realized that one shouldn't take too much responsibility over other peoples. You have to find out who you are, realize that you can't handle everything and learn by your mistakes. It's important that you think of how you treat people near you. Another thing is not to give up! Think of when the gods several times tried to chain the Fenrir wolf, but he just crushed the chain and they had to start all over again. Many nowadays people would have given up saying 'well, I let somebody else handle this'. But the gods didn't give up and they managed to chain the wolf and keep
him there until Ragnarok. It is also important to learn new thing and to expand your knowledge. The rune Perdhra i the germanic runerow means that the human have to be "refined" just as you have to polish a diamant to make it more expensive. So..if you put all the god's behavior together (choose the gods you think is important) and you will have a pretty good idea of how to behave.
