The story about Rig

One day Heimdall was out walking by a beach. He called himself Rig. When he saw a cabin he went inside it. By the fire sat two humans, Ae and Edda. Rig who had great knowledge gave them some advices. Edda invited him to stay for dinner and gave him the best the house had; bread and soup. Rig stayed in their house for three nights and nine months later the son Thrall was born. Thrall was ugly with a sick back. He met a girl named Ty and together they gave birth to twelve sons and nine daughters. They became the slaves. Rig started to walk again and came to a hall. On the floor was a fire and by the fire sat the house's owners, Ave and Amma. They worked with wood and cloth. Rig sat himself down with them and gave them advices. Amma served him calf meat. Rig stayed with them for three nights and nine months later the son Carl was born. Carl married Snor and the gave birth to twelve sons and ten daughters. Their children became the freemen, the earth-owners.

Rig kept on walking and came to a huge hall. Inside it sat Father and Mother. Father made arrows. Mother had jewellery in her hair and her neck was brighter than snow. Rig put himself down beside them and gave them advices. Mother gave him dinner served on a white tablecloth on the finest silver plates. The dinner was white bread, meat and steak birds and wine to drink. Rig stayed for three nights and nine months later the son Earl was born. He had white hair and glittering eyes. When Earl was older Rig returned and learned him to read runes. Earl married a woman named Erna and they together got twelve sons which became the nobles.
